Any Japanese summer matsuri festival wouldn’t be complete without a Bon Odori dance and HYPER JAPAN is no different.
The HYPER Bon Odori is back for Festival 2019 and we invite everyone to join us in this iconic Japanese summer dance.
We will be dancing the HYPER Bon Odori everyday throughout the HYPER JAPAN weekend so whenever you are planning to come to Festival 2019 you will have a chance to join in.
Two long time friends of HYPER JAPAN, Haruka Kuroda and Akari Mochizuki will be returning for Festival 2019 to guide everyone through the HYPER Bon Odori. Both Akari and Haruka are Bon Odori experts and excellent teachers. They will soon have even the most reluctant dancers enjoying the Bon Odori.
DJ Takeru Sunamori who provided the music for last year’s HYPER Bon Odori, has created a special 2019 Tokyo Ondo remix for us all to dance to.
The HYPER Bon Odori is a simple dance and anyone who has been to HYPER JAPAN in previous years will surely know the basics. For any new visitors or those who have maybe forgotten exactly how it goes, take a look at this short video and you’ll soon get the hang of how it all works.
Join us at the HYPER Live! Stage and get in the mood for summer dancing the HYPER Bon Odori with Akari Mochizuki and Haruka Kuroda. If you’ve got a yukata, jinbe, hapi or some other Japanese clothes, why not bring them along for the HYPER Bon Odori too!
